 Domaine Gueissard

Creating wines from both the Bandol and Côtes de Provence, Domaine Gueissard is an extraordinary find for us.  Having previously served as winemaker at famous Domaine Tempier in Bandol, Clément Minne is creating some spectacular wines at Gueissard.    He limits production (35-40 hectolitres per hectare), harvests manually and observes organic production methods.

Gueissard Bandol Rosé 2016 (#43-22)

Elegant, light pink with salmon glimmers.  The nose picks up expressive and complex tones of fresh aromas of citrus, mango, apricot notes.  The palate is fleshy, balanced, with aromas of exotic fruits and spices.

Grapes:Cinsault (40%), Mourvèdre (35%), Grenache (20%), Carignan (5%)

Gueissard Bandol Rouge 2012 (#43-13)

A deep purple red hue with aromas of red fruit and wild herbs scents. On the palate, fruit spices, chocolate and tobacco supported by elegant tannins.  Wine Spectator gives this great wine 92/100 points.

Grapes: 70% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache, 15% Cinsault

Gueissard Cuvée G Blanc 2017 (#43-24)

Beautiful, shining, golden white colors. The nose reveals delicate white flower aromas and fruity notes of apricot. Delicious in the mouth, with rich and persistent flavors.

Grapes: Rolle (75%), Clairette (15%), Ugni Blanc (10%)

Gueissard Cuvée G Rosé 2017 (#43-23)

The color is a salmon color with deep pink tinges. Red fruit aromas, such as raspberry, wild strawberry, and some lychee notes. Fresh in the mouth, rich and long-lasting.

Grapes: Syrah (55%), Cinsault (45%)
